A fascinating survivor from the traditional shoemaking trade, this wooden shoe last features a dramatic pointed-toe shape, hinged construction and surviving metal hardware.

Unlike modern decorative reproductions, this piece displays extensive evidence of actual use. The wood carries scratches, stains, tool marks, small holes, handwritten or drawn markings and a naturally aged surface that gives the piece tremendous character.

The rear portion incorporates a mechanical hinge along with a metal tube/fitting and additional mounting holes.
